London Hat Designer and Milliner

Maria Monica London is a couture millinery house in London, making luxury hats and headpieces by hand. Every piece is designed by master milliner Monika Perlińska (Monika Maria Ciesielkiewicz), who spent about five years in Philip Treacy's London atelier and around seven as head milliner at Jane Taylor. Hats she made by hand in those workrooms have been worn by the Royal Family.

Private appointments across London

Appointments are held at a private studio in London by arrangement, and worldwide by video call.

• West London. A private appointment studio, by arrangement.
• Central London. A bookable studio, arranged around your date.
• At your home, hotel or office. By arrangement, designed against the gown itself.
• By video call. Consultation, design presentation and fitting, in your own time zone.

What happens at an appointment

An hour with Monika. She measures your head, sketches the shape against your outfit and shows you the straw, felt and hand-dyed crin she would use. You choose the colour. Nothing is made until the drawing is right.

Occasions we dress

Royal Ascot, weddings, mother of the bride, Ladies Day, Wimbledon, garden parties, christenings and evening galas.

Bespoke commissions
